Distributed Cognition

Hello, and welcome to my series of blog posts on Distributed Cognition int he class room. Before we get started, I just wanted to offer some insight on my definition of Distributed Cognition, and how I am applying it to my classroom.

To me, Distributed Cognition is a way in which people are able to interact with their environment, and utilize things such as technology to be able to accomplish complex things.

I will be using this deffiniton of Distributed Cognition to analyze how technology, and functions of technology are being used in my cooperating classroom.

During this series, we will be exploring the question; Does technology make students smarter?
